Sustainable Construction
The design, construction and maintenance of buildings have a tremendous impact on our environment and our natural resources. The challenge today will be to build smart, so buildings use a minimum of non-renewable energy, produce a minimum of pollution and cost a minimum of energy dollars, while increasing the comfort, health and safety of the people who live and work in them.
Vanbots embraces "Green" building practices from design concepts through to construction and building operations. Conserving resources is a cornerstone of green building technologies and there are many ways to conserve resources during the building process. Minimizing construction waste and implementing our site waste recycling program can ease the impact on landfills. Installing water and energy efficient products can conserve resources, while reducing operating costs. Choosing a green (plant covered) roof can reduce energy use and prevent storm water run off, as well as contributing to wildlife habitat and air quality.
Vanbots Construction has embraced sustainable design and is a member of the Canada Green Building Council. In the construction industry in
Ontario
, Vanbots has the most accredited professionals on staff with 8 additional staff currently working towards accreditation.
